Come learn about why we organize and how we work to change the conditions of working class tenants in Chicago. It’s plain to see the increasing exploitation around us, with costs rising day after day from unchecked capitalist greed, and our rent is no exception. Landlords are building their wealth off the paychecks of the working class. We’re financing their vacations and mansions without any control over our own housing conditions.
ACTA is serious about changing this. We believe organizing tenant unions is the most effective and legitimate means of tenants taking back power.
This event will explore ACTA’s organizing happening in the city right now and how our principles and ideology drive our activity.
